Univ.-Prof. Dr. Susanne Weigelin-Schwiedrzik (*1955), professor emeritus of Sinology, University of Vienna, former Vice-Rector for Research and Career Development, University of Vienna. Susanne Weigelin-Schwiedrzik was trained in Bonn, Bochum and Beijing and held her first full professor position at the University of Heidelberg. She is a specialist on Chinese history and politics and a political analyst of internal and foreign policies of the PRC. She is an internationally renowned expert with research stays in the US, Japan, the PRC, and Hong Kong. Weigelin-Schwiedrzik has 40 years of experience in travelling to and doing research in the PRC which resulted in over 200 publications in multiple languages.
Professor Weigelin-Schwiedrzik is a member of the iGlobenews Advisory Board.
